Origin: Kaanapali, Maui
Variety: Red Catuai. Developed in 1949 by crossing a Red Caturra and the Mundo Novo varieties. Red Catuai began commercial production in Brazil in 1972. Red Catuai grows well in lower elevations, especially good for mechanical harvesting.
Roast: 50% City and 50% Espresso
Taste Profile: Good body, mild acidity, milk chocolate with hints of toasted nuts and allspice. A rich and smooth coffee. Oma’s favorite 100% Maui coffee.
